Join fellow ULI Full Members on November 13th for dinner and an intimate conversation with Braves Development Company President and CEO, Mike Plant. In his 16th season with the Atlanta Braves, Plant oversees the team’s real estate holdings, including The Battery Atlanta and the team’s new spring training complex in North Point, Florida. Plant played a key role in the team’s decision to relocate to Cobb County as well as to own, develop and operate the highly successful mixed-use project known as The Battery Atlanta. Prior to joining the team, Plant was Exec. VP of Turner Sports, where he oversaw day to day operations, representing over 1,200 hours of sports programming on multiple Turner networks. Earlier in his career, Plant served as President of The Goodwill Games, where he worked to execute Ted Turner’s vision for this multi-sport event, and he was the Owner and President of Medalist Sports, which created and promoted professional cycling events in the U.S. and China.

Plant has a rich background in other U.S. and international sports. He was a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic speedskating team (Lake Placid, NY) and a six-time member of the U.S. World Championship speedskating teams. He has chaired numerous committees and boards for the U.S. Olympic Committee, U.S. International Speedskating Association, International Cycling Federation, and USA Cycling. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Committee for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Games.
