POSTPONED - ULI Atlanta The Link Between Esports and Commercial Real Estate
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Whether one sees it as just playing video games, Esports is a $170 billion industry worldwide. Its size eclipses the size of the big four American sports, American film and TV, and the American music industries combined. According to Georgia Department of Economic Development, Atlanta is the top E-sports market as it ranks no. 1 for gaming environment and no.5 in augmented reality and virtual reality jobs.
But how does gaming impact commercial real estate? Will it create need for a new real estate model? Over the next decade, commercial real estate in Georgia is thought to reflect the enormous potential of E-sports from investment, retail, design to space use. Come hear how Esports is anchoring a major mixed-use development, a major office re-development, and an university venue, all in metro Atlanta, and how the Georgia tax credit will fuel the growth of gaming in Atlanta’s commercial real estate market.
