    Patrick Kanters

    Chief Investment Officer, Private Investments, Member of the Management Board, APG Asset Management US Inc.

    Patrick Kanters is Managing Director Real Assets of APG Asset Management. APG Asset Management is specialized in managing pension capital, offering asset management services to the pension funds of the government, education and construction sectors and housing corporations. Based in the Amsterdam office he is responsible for all real estate, infrastructure and natural resource fund activities. The holdings are concentrated in securities of publicly traded real estate, infrastructure and natural resources companies and selected private entities, funds and co-investments in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. The responsibility for infrastructure was added in May 2012 followed by natural resources in April 2017. Prior to joining APG (then ABP) in 2005, Patrick worked for ING Real Estate for 11 years. Most formerly he was Managing Director of the Investment Management department covering the European markets. From 2008 to 2017 Patrick has been member of the Board of Steen & Strom, the leading Scandinavian shopping center investor, operator and developer. In addition, Patrick has served as chairman of the Management Board of INREV and ULI Executive Committee. is member of the Executive Board of the European Public Real Estate Association, is non -executive member of Board of GRESB that was co-founded by APG and is ULI Trustee. Patrick holds a MSc in Real Estate, Project Management & Housing from the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and received a post doctorate degree in Real Estate from the University of Amsterdam. He has attended senior executive courses at INSEAD and Harvard.

    Mary Ludgin

    Senior Managing Director & Director of Global Investment Research, Heitman

    Mary Ludgin is Heitman’s Head of Global Investment Research. She is a partner of the firm and holds a seat on its investment, valuation, and global management committees. She holds an AB from Vassar College and an MA and Ph.D. from Northwestern University. Mary was a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and she chaired ULI’s Chicago District Council. She sits on the board of ULI’s Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance. She served as Chair of the Pension Real Estate Association, President of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, and President of the Real Estate Research Institute. Mary is a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute for Real Estate Research and a member of LAI, the honorary real estate society. Mary was the 2019 recipient of the Pension Real Estate Association’s James A. Graaskamp award, which recognizes researchers whose work contributes to the common body of knowledge regarding real estate investment.

    Jonathan Yap

    CEO, CLD, CapitaLand Development

    Jonathan Yap is President, CapitaLand Financial of CapitaLand Group. Jonathan oversees the Group’s fund platform which includes seven listed trusts with a total market capitalisation of approximately S$36 billion as of 31 December 2019, as well as over 20 private funds. He also oversees the Group’s India business. Jonathan is a member of the CapitaLand Executive Committee. CapitaLand’s fund platform, valued at approximately S$73.7 billion of fund assets under management (AUM) as at 31 December 2019, makes CapitaLand the top real estate investment manager in Asia and 9th largest in the world. The Group is targeting further growth to S$100 billion of fund AUM by year 2024. CapitaLand’s business in India, which was added as the Group’s newest core geography post its merger with Ascendas-Singbridge (ASB), is committed to growing its AUM from approximately S$3.2 billion as at 31 December 2019 to S$7 billion in 2024. Jonathan will be overseeing both CapitaLand’s fund platform as well as the Group’s business in India to reach the targets set. Prior to joining CapitaLand in July 2019, Jonathan was the Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ASB. As Group COO, he oversaw ASB’s operations in Korea and expansion into new markets. In his capacity as Group CFO, Jonathan supervised the finance, corporate strategy and development, and enterprise risk management functions of ASB. Jonathan started working at ASB since its formation in June 2015 and was concurrently the CIO as well as the Head of Real Estate Funds for the first two years of the company. Before ASB’s formation, Jonathan was with Ascendas Pte Ltd. He was appointed CEO, India from 2010 to 2015, CEO, India Funds from 2007 to 2014 and CEO, India Operations from 2004 to 2007. During which, he led the listing of the award-winning Ascendas India Trust on the Singapore Exchange. He was also the Assistant Group CEO for Overseas Funds & India of Ascendas Pte Ltd from 2012 to 2015. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Estate Management (Honours) and a Master of Science in Project Management, National University of Singapore.

    Ralph Rosenberg

    Partner, Global Head of KKR Real Estate, KKR

    Ralph F. Rosenberg Member, Head of KKR Real Estate New York Member, Real Estate RALPH F. ROSENBERG (New York) joined KKR in 2011 and is the global head of KKR's Real Estate Platform. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Rosenberg was a Partner at Eton Park Capital Management and also managed his own firm, R6 Capital Management, which later merged into Eton Park. Previously, he was a Partner at Goldman Sachs. He holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University and an M.B.A from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He serves as a Trustee of Brown University and as a Trustee of the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He is a former member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Trust and is an Honorary Trustee of the Francis W. Parker School in Chicago, Illinois.

    Lisette van Doorn

    Chief Executive Officer, Urban Land Institute

    As chief executive of ULI Europe, Lisette van Doorn is responsible for the development of the Institute’s activities across the region, including its renowned pan-European conferences and over 250 local meetings and events across 14 countries. She is responsible for working with ULI’s staff both locally and globally to deliver more high profile content and reports; coordinating Advisory Services panels and Urban Plan; and expanding the Institute’s thought leadership across Europe. Van Doorn joined ULI in January 2015 from LIRE, her own consultancy business, which advises international institutional real estate investors and fund managers on strategy, organisational optimisation and portfolio structuring. Prior to this, van Doorn was country manager for CBRE Global Investors where she managed a €1.6bn portfolio of assets in Italy and fund manager of two shopping centre funds (€ 1.3 billion) with assets in Spain, Portugal and Italy. Before joining CBRE Global Investors, van Doorn was founding chief executive for INREV, the European association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles for four and a half years. Van Doorn started her career at ING Investment Management, where she held account manager and assistant controller positions before being made managing director of research & strategy for ING Real Estate Investment Management Europe.
