How we work together and with partners…
Merging thought leadership and practical application

ULI and the LCC bring a vast array of resources and tools to advance TOD and walkable communities in the Atlanta region.  This ranges from best-in-class research to tangible application of best practices from ULI membership.   Examples include:

  • Timely research such as America 2013, a national survey on housing, transportation, and community preferences;
  • Best practices on a range of critical issues such as land banking, master-planning, and intergovernmental agreements;
  • Publications such as Pedestrian- and Transit-oriented Design by Reid Ewing and Keith Bartholomew, 2013;
  • Unfettered access to practice leaders from across the country through the national TOD Product Council;
  • Technical Assistance Panels as a local implementation tool as well as case studies for TOD from across the country; and
  • Local ULI Atlanta committees comprised of thought and private sector practice leaders on all land use topics (e.g. Housing, Sustainability, and Capital Markets).
